Remote Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to manage and oversee logistics operations from a distance. This role, based remotely, will involve coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, optimising routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods across various locations. You will be a key point of contact, facilitating communication between suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to maintain efficient supply chain performance. This position requires strong self-management, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics processes in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of domestic and international shipments, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Utilise logistics software and technology to monitor shipment progress and identify potential issues.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any logistical challenges or delays that arise.
• Provide timely updates and reports on logistics activities to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements for greater efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a logistics coordination or supply chain management role.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, customs procedures, and international shipping.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote environment.
