About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Remote Logistics Network Optimisation Manager to lead the design and enhancement of their global logistics network. In this critical, fully remote role, you will leverage advanced data analysis and modeling techniques to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing the resilience of the supply chain. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and finance, to develop and implement network strategies that align with business objectives. This position is perfect for an experienced logistics professional with a passion for data-driven decision-making and a proven track record of optimising complex logistics networks from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse the current logistics network to identify opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement strategies for network design, including the location and optimisation of warehouses and distribution centers.
• Utilise advanced modelling and simulation tools to forecast future network needs and evaluate potential changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of network optimisation initiatives.
• Monitor network performance and establish KPIs to track progress and measure success.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics network design and optimisation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• Extensive experience in logistics network design and optimisation, with a strong analytical and modelling background.
• Proficiency in network optimisation software and advanced data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, simulation software).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
