Remote Logistics Operations Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Remote Logistics Operations Coordinator to manage and streamline their logistics operations from any approved location. This role is central to ensuring the efficient flow of goods, coordinating with carriers, managing documentation, and resolving logistical challenges with a fully remote team. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to maintain optimal delivery schedules and uphold high standards of service, contributing significantly to the company's supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments globally, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of goods.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to manage transportation and resolve international shipping issues.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping within the logistics system, providing reports on stock status.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, potential delays, and resolution strategies.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the remote logistics workflow to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding role, with a strong understanding of international shipping.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with various international shipping regulations and incoterms is essential.
