Remote Logistics Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Remote Logistics Specialist to join their globally distributed team. This position is crucial for managing and coordinating the international movement of goods, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring shipments, liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other partners. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, requiring strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of global logistics operations and international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage international inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Select and manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics service providers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations, customs requirements, and import/export laws.
• Monitor shipment progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement proactive solutions.
• Optimize logistics costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and associated expenses.

Requirements

• Proven experience in international logistics or supply chain management.
• In-depth knowledge of global shipping processes, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Experience working with various transport modes (air, sea, road, rail).
• Proficiency in logistics management software and remote collaboration tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different time zones.
