About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team, operating entirely remotely from Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. This position focuses on providing expert remote support, monitoring, and diagnostic services for a wide range of industrial equipment. You will leverage advanced telecommunications and diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues, perform virtual maintenance, and ensure the optimal functioning of systems without needing to be physically present on-site. Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and diagnostics for client equipment via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues or failures.
- Guide on-site personnel through troubleshooting and repair procedures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for remote support processes and solutions.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend preventative actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve product reliability and support strategies.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a maintenance engineering or technical support role, with a focus on remote assistance.
- Proficiency with remote diagnostic software and network troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and industrial equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts to non-technical users remotely.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote workload effectively.
- Familiarity with installation and maintenance best practices from a distance.
