Remote Major Donor Development Manager

About the Role

Our client, a leading charity organisation, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Remote Major Donor Development Manager to cultivate and grow significant philanthropic support. This is a senior, fully remote role requiring exceptional relationship management skills and a proven ability to secure substantial gifts from individuals, family foundations, and charitable trusts. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sophisticated major gifts strategy, building lasting relationships with high-net-worth donors, and ensuring the sustained financial growth needed to fulfil the charity's ambitious mission. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors.
• Manage a personal portfolio of high-value prospects and existing donors, developing bespoke engagement plans.
• Craft compelling proposals, case statements, and appeals tailored to the interests of major gift prospects.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major donors, providing exceptional stewardship.
• Collaborate with the CEO, Board members, and senior leadership to leverage their networks and expertise in donor engagement.
• Analyse donor data to identify trends, opportunities, and track progress towards ambitious fundraising goals.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in major donor fundraising, with a strong track record of securing gifts of £50,000+.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly with affluent individuals and their advisors.
• Proven experience in prospect research, cultivation strategies, and successful solicitation.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage a demanding workload remotely, and meet ambitious targets.
