About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Management Accountant to join their fully remote finance team, based remotely but supporting operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This critical role focuses on providing vital management information, driving financial performance improvements, and supporting strategic initiatives across the business. You will be instrumental in developing management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, working closely with departmental heads to enhance financial understanding and accountability. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling financial forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business case development and strategic planning.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to drive business performance.
- Enhance financial reporting systems and processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support with ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by the business.
Requirements
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant management accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Strong understanding of financial performance metrics and drivers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills, experience with BI tools is a plus.
