About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Manufacturing Engineer with an Industrial focus to contribute to their operational excellence initiatives from anywhere. This position is vital for analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes and systems across various company locations. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques, simulation software, and a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production output. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly analytical, possesses excellent virtual communication skills, and is adept at driving significant operational improvements in a remote capacity, supporting a culture of innovation and efficiency within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes using data, simulation, and remote assessment tools to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
- Design and propose new manufacturing systems, workflows, and plant layouts to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices for manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate virtually with plant managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to implement process improvements and new technologies.
- Conduct virtual training sessions and provide ongoing support to site teams for process implementation.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost, providing regular reports on progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with manufacturing simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and virtual collaboration software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with proven ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote interaction.
