About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join their team, supporting operations across multiple sites, including their facilities near Edinburgh . This role will focus on analyzing production data, identifying trends, and developing insights to drive operational improvements from a remote setting. You will work closely with site managers and corporate teams to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure consistent quality standards are met globally. The ideal candidate thrives on data analysis and continuous improvement, bringing valuable insights to optimize manufacturing performance remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data from various production sites.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction opportunities through data analysis.
- Collaborate remotely with site operations teams to understand challenges and implement data-driven solutions.
- Assist in the development and refinement of operational strategies and best practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analytical findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or operations context.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and ideally BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
