About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Manufacturing Optimization Engineer to join their team. This is a fully remote position where you will focus on enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing operations across various sites. You will utilize your expertise in industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing, and data analytics to identify and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, adept at virtual collaboration, and passionate about driving significant operational enhancements from a distance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify key areas for optimization in terms of efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
- Design and implement lean manufacturing strategies, including value stream mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events, virtually.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track manufacturing performance and improvement progress.
- Collaborate with plant managers, production supervisors, and engineering teams remotely to ensure successful implementation of optimization initiatives.
- Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model process changes and predict outcomes before implementation.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or operations optimization.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies and their application.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis and process simulation software.
- Excellent remote communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence change in a distributed team environment.
