Remote Manufacturing Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and adaptable Remote Manufacturing Technician to provide technical support and troubleshooting for their manufacturing operations from a distance. This role involves assisting on-site teams with equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and problem-solving using remote diagnostic tools and communication technologies. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of production lines by offering expert technical guidance and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes, coupled with excellent remote communication skills and the ability to guide others effectively through complex technical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for manufacturing equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Guide on-site personnel through diagnostic procedures and repair steps for machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance remotely and identify potential issues before they impact production.
• Assist with the remote implementation of process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of technical support provided, issues resolved, and equipment status.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop best practices for equipment upkeep and operation.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or vocational training in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of industrial machinery.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, remote access software, and common communication platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to clearly explain technical information.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
