About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking a dedicated Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join their fully remote engineering department based in the UK. This role is integral to the design and optimization of components for wind turbine systems and associated infrastructure. You will leverage your technical expertise to develop innovative solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs for renewable energy components and systems using advanced CAD software.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations, including fatigue analysis and vibration analysis , to ensure design integrity.
• Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
• Collaborate effectively with remote engineering teams, suppliers, and project managers through digital communication platforms.
• Support the testing and validation of prototypes and production units, providing remote technical assistance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a strong focus on component design and analysis.
• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with materials used in demanding environments and relevant manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote , collaborative setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently.
