Remote Mechanical Design Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software .
• Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) analyses.
• Create and maintain comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOMs) and design documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and manufacturing, to refine designs and resolve issues.
• Conduct preliminary calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
• Ensure designs meet specified performance, cost, and quality targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong portfolio of past work.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software .
• Understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal).
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
