You will be responsible for fostering a strong safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and promoting best practices to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive mine safety management systems and policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at operational sites.
• Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
• Promote and champion a proactive safety culture throughout the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mine safety management, preferably in underground or open-pit mining.
• Certification such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing effective safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of mining operations and associated hazards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
