About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and self-motivated Mining Data Analyst to join their team in a fully remote capacity, supporting operations across various global sites, including those near Bristol . This role is pivotal in transforming vast amounts of operational and geological data into actionable insights that drive decision-making, improve efficiency, and enhance safety within the mining industry . You will work closely with geologists, engineers, and management to develop reports, dashboards, and predictive models. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various mining operations (e.g., production, geological, equipment, safety).
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Apply statistical analysis and modeling techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for operational improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Develop predictive models for resource estimation, production forecasting, and equipment maintenance needs.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all analytical processes and databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mining Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with specific experience in the mining or resource sector .
• Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning concepts, and data mining techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
