Remote Network Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their distributed technical operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring network availability, performance, and security, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to strategic network planning from any location. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize traffic flow and latency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Participate in network capacity planning and future infrastructure development initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on infrastructure design and management.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other major networking vendors.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
