Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Remote Network Infrastructure Specialist to join their globally distributed team, focusing on the management and enhancement of their core telecom network infrastructure . This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability network systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role is perfect for an experienced specialist who excels in a remote setting and is passionate about building robust and efficient network solutions, contributing expertise from Norwich or any other preferred location.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex network infrastructure , including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network health, performance, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Develop and implement automation scripts for network configuration, deployment, and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment to troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure management.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
• Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of VPNs, WAN technologies, and network monitoring solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role, regardless of your base in Norwich or elsewhere.
