Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Network Operations Specialist to join their expanding global team, supporting operations based out of Milton Keynes . This fully remote position involves monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of our client's telecommunications network, responding to alerts, and resolving incidents swiftly. This role is ideal for a technically adept individual who excels in a remote working environment and possesses a strong understanding of network operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance using specialized tools and respond to alarms and alerts 24/7.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance on network devices.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network operations processes and tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network operations or a similar technical support role.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
