Remote Network Security Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activity and respond promptly to security incidents.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, recommending and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of network design and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
