About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Remote Network Support Engineer to join their globally distributed team. This position is integral to maintaining the health and performance of our client's robust network infrastructure, providing critical support to users and systems entirely from a remote location. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and ensuring the security and reliability of all network operations. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues using remote management tools.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to end-users for network-related problems, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Manage and maintain network hardware and software, including firewalls, routers, and switches, remotely.
- Implement network security best practices and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Document network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a knowledge base.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network support, system administration, or a related IT field.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and management software.
- Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote setting, supporting clients across various time zones.
