Remote Operations Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Remote Operations Improvement Engineer to join their dynamic team, focusing on optimizing manufacturing and logistical processes across their various facilities. This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to contribute significantly to operational efficiency from anywhere. You will be responsible for analyzing performance data, identifying areas for enhancement, and developing practical solutions to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial engineering principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a virtual environment, driving operational excellence from afar.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote analysis of operational data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in production and logistics.
• Design and implement lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S and value stream mapping, to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices for implementation across multiple sites.
• Collaborate virtually with site managers and operations teams to understand challenges and implement proposed solutions.
• Utilize statistical analysis and process modeling tools to evaluate the impact of proposed changes.
• Track the effectiveness of implemented improvements and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in operations improvement, process engineering, or a similar role.
• Proven experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) and process documentation software.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and methodologies.
