Remote Performance Analyst - Sports

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Remote Performance Analyst to join their innovative sports division, supporting teams and athletes remotely from Southampton . In this role, you will leverage advanced data analytics to provide actionable insights that enhance athletic performance, strategy, and decision-making. You will work closely with coaching staff and athletes to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, concise recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyse large datasets related to athlete performance, including biometric, video, and statistical data.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track progress and identify trends.
• Provide detailed performance reports and presentations to coaching staff, highlighting key findings and strategic recommendations.
• Utilise statistical modelling and machine learning techniques to identify areas for improvement and predict future performance outcomes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collection and analysis systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sports analytics, data science, and performance monitoring technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a performance analyst or data scientist within a sports context.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with sports performance metrics, data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and statistical modelling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• A degree in a quantitative field such as sports science, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
