Remote Pharmaceutical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Remote Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to join their global operations team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to contribute to critical engineering projects from any location. You will focus on optimizing and troubleshooting pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with strict regulatory standards. This role involves analyzing process data, recommending improvements, and collaborating virtually with manufacturing sites and R&D teams worldwide. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong background in chemical or process engineering applied to the pharmaceutical industry, committed to driving operational excellence through innovative engineering solutions in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement process improvements, including validation and scale-up activities.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Design and evaluate process equipment and control strategies to enhance performance and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation, including process descriptions, validation protocols, and reports.
• Collaborate virtually with site engineers, production staff, and quality assurance teams to support ongoing operations and new product introductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
• Strong understanding of GMP , FDA, and EMA regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical production.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about complex manufacturing challenges.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects and working effectively in a remote team environment.
