Remote Pharmaceutical Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Remote Pharmaceutical Project Manager to oversee critical drug development projects from inception to completion. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking pharmaceutical initiatives from the comfort of your home office, ideally based within commutable distance of Newcastle upon Tyne for occasional team gatherings. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating efforts across diverse global teams. This role demands exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills to navigate the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of pharmaceutical development projects, from initiation to regulatory submission and launch.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget, using industry-standard project management tools.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication across all project stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to senior management and relevant committees.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry); a Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex drug development projects through clinical trials and regulatory approval.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes, GxP regulations, and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) and virtual collaboration tools.
