Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Pharmaceutical Research Chemist to join their cutting-edge research division. You will be instrumental in designing and executing complex synthetic routes, characterizing new chemical entities, and contributing to the early-stage drug discovery pipeline. Key Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel small molecules with potential therapeutic activity using advanced organic chemistry techniques.
• Develop and optimize synthetic routes for target compounds, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Perform thorough characterization of synthesized compounds using analytical techniques such as NMR, Mass Spectrometry, and HPLC.
• Collaborate effectively with computational chemists and biologists to interpret structure-activity relationships (SAR).
• Maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebooks and contribute to patent applications and scientific publications.
• Participate in virtual team meetings, scientific discussions, and project planning sessions, demonstrating excellent remote communication skills.

Requirements

• PhD in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-doctoral or industrial experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing complex multi-step syntheses.
• Proficiency with modern analytical techniques for compound characterization (e.g., NMR, HRMS, LC-MS).
• Experience in medicinal chemistry and a strong understanding of drug discovery principles are highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
