About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and creative Remote PR Specialist to join their distributed team, supporting initiatives from Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in shaping and amplifying our client's brand narrative across digital and traditional media platforms. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling stories, managing media outreach, and fostering positive public perception. Working independently but collaboratively with a remote team, you will leverage your expertise to achieve significant media placements and contribute to the overall communication success, all within a flexible, work-from-home environment that prioritizes autonomy and results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute targeted media outreach strategies to secure positive press coverage.
• Write and distribute engaging press releases, articles, and other communication materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers.
• Monitor media mentions and social media channels for brand sentiment and relevant industry news.
• Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns and events, coordinating logistics remotely.
• Assist in the development of communication plans and strategies for new product launches or company announcements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a PR or Communications role, with a strong portfolio of successful media placements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.
• Proficiency in media monitoring tools and social media management platforms.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and current affairs.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
