About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on the selection, implementation, and management of precision agriculture technologies, including GPS guidance, variable rate application, and drone technology.
• Analyze data from farm sensors, soil mapping, yield monitors, and other sources to develop site-specific management recommendations.
• Develop strategies for optimizing inputs such as fertilizers, water, and pesticides based on data analysis.
• Provide training and ongoing support to farmers and farm staff on the use of precision agriculture equipment and software.
• Stay current with advancements in agricultural technology, including IoT, AI, and data analytics in farming.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to precision agriculture systems and data management.

Requirements

• A degree in Precision Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in precision agriculture, agricultural technology, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of GPS systems, GIS, variable rate technology, and sensor applications in agriculture.
• Experience with farm management software and data analysis platforms.
• Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into practical farm management advice.
• Excellent communication and remote client support skills.
