About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Process Optimisation Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on analysing, improving, and streamlining existing chemical manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure sustainability across various global sites. You will leverage data analytics, process modelling, and your deep understanding of chemical engineering principles to identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys problem-solving and driving continuous improvement in a flexible, work-from-home environment, supporting operations related to Stoke-on-Trent .
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse process data to identify key performance indicators, deviations, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise process yields, throughput, and energy efficiency.
- Utilise process simulation software to model scenarios and test potential solutions remotely.
- Collaborate closely with on-site plant engineers and operations teams to implement changes effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on optimisation findings and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in process optimisation and chemical engineering.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience in process optimisation, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
- Strong understanding of chemical processes, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively from a distance, supporting our Stoke-on-Trent interests.
