Remote Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Process Optimization Engineer to enhance the efficiency and performance of their global chemical operations. Working entirely remotely, you will analyze complex process data, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategic solutions to improve throughput, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, advanced data analysis capabilities, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective virtual collaboration. The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer passionate about leveraging data to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets from chemical processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and energy consumption.
• Develop and implement optimization strategies for existing chemical processes using statistical methods and modeling techniques.
• Design and propose process modifications or new technologies to enhance operational performance.
• Collaborate with site engineers and plant managers to implement optimization solutions and monitor their effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain process dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stay current with advancements in process optimization tools, techniques, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; Master's is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on optimization and data analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and process simulation tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, and separation processes.
• Excellent remote communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
