About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Remote Procurement Lead to establish and manage their global procurement function. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive procurement strategy, building relationships with international suppliers, and driving cost efficiencies across all spend categories. This is a unique opportunity to build a best-in-class procurement operation from the ground up in a dynamic and innovative company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global procurement strategy, including policies, procedures, and sourcing guidelines.
- Lead cross-functional teams in strategic sourcing initiatives and complex negotiations with international suppliers.
- Establish and manage key supplier relationships, ensuring optimal performance, quality, and value.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and implement best practices across the organisation.
- Manage the procurement budget and oversee all purchasing activities to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a senior procurement or purchasing leadership role, with a proven track record of building and managing global procurement functions.
- Strong strategic sourcing, category management, and negotiation expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively.
- Excellent understanding of international trade, logistics, and compliance requirements.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
