About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Remote Procurement Manager to lead their procurement function. Operating entirely remotely, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. This includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, optimizing spend, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of procurement best practices, and the ability to manage a remote team effectively, driving continuous improvement and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's procurement strategy and policies.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing remote work environment.
- Oversee all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements across all spend categories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and company standards in procurement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or CIPS is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful procurement strategies, including significant cost savings.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, and a deep understanding of global sourcing and market trends.
