About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Remote Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing operations, supporting their activities in Belfast . This is a fully remote position where you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving significant cost savings. You will oversee a team of procurement professionals, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills who can effectively manage procurement processes and achieve key performance indicators from a remote setting, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organisation's overall procurement strategy.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Oversee the negotiation and management of high-value contracts with key suppliers.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and value-enhancement opportunities throughout the supply chain.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a procurement management role, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and risk management.
• Excellent understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
