Remote Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Production Planner to manage production scheduling and resource allocation for their manufacturing operations, supporting sites near Oxford . This fully remote position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities to ensure efficient and timely production runs. You will work closely with supply chain, operations, and sales teams to develop optimized production plans that meet demand while minimizing costs and lead times. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled planner to contribute significantly from a remote location within the Manufacturing & Production sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering material availability, machine capacity, and labor resources.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to forecast production needs and adjust plans accordingly.
• Monitor production progress against schedules, identifying and resolving any deviations or delays.
• Optimize inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to support production targets.
• Communicate production plans and updates effectively to relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improving planning accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
