Remote Production Planning Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Production Planning Manager to lead their production scheduling and capacity planning efforts across multiple manufacturing sites. This role is fully remote and requires exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to manage complex logistics from afar. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing production plans to meet demand, manage inventory levels, and maximize operational efficiency, ensuring seamless flow from raw materials to finished goods, all while working from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
• Analyze production capacity, resource availability, and lead times to optimize scheduling.
• Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on planning.
• Monitor production progress, identify potential delays, and implement proactive solutions to keep plans on track.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, optimizing stock holding.
• Utilize advanced planning software and tools to forecast demand and manage production workflows efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in production planning , scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
• Proficiency with advanced planning systems (APS) and ERP software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data for decision-making.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, effective in a remote setting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
