Remote Project Manager - Mining Technology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Remote Project Manager to lead the implementation of new mining technologies across their global operations. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, collaborating with diverse teams involved in technological innovation within the mining industry . You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects related to automation, data analytics, and advanced software solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage complex, technology-driven projects in a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional, remote project teams to achieve project objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication among all project stakeholders, including regular status reporting.
• Oversee the implementation and adoption of new mining technologies, ensuring successful integration with existing systems.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focusing on technology implementation in the mining or heavy industry sectors .
• Proven experience managing remote teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
