Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Purchasing Coordinator to manage and streamline their procurement activities from anywhere in the UK. This position is vital for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, supporting various departments across the organisation. You will be responsible for executing purchasing processes, managing supplier communications, and maintaining accurate records, all within a remote working framework. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to operational efficiency while enjoying the benefits of a fully remote work environment, based ideally within reach of Leeds for occasional team meetings if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, clarify orders, and resolve delivery issues.
- Maintain a centralised database of supplier information, pricing, and contract terms.
- Track order progress and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and payment issues in coordination with the finance department.
- Support the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative support role is essential.
- Strong understanding of the procure-to-pay cycle.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
