About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Remote Purchasing Coordinator to join their expanding team, supporting operations across the UK. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for the administrative and operational aspects of the purchasing process, including managing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate thrives in a virtual environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a keen eye for detail to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the procurement system.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and pricing.
- Track orders and resolve any issues related to deliveries or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier databases.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure their purchasing needs are met efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative support role.
- Familiarity with purchase order systems and basic procurement principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
