Remote Purchasing Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Purchasing Manager to lead their procurement operations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage purchasing strategies and oversee a team from your home office. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies, negotiating favourable contracts, and ensuring the acquisition of goods and services meets the organization's quality, cost, and delivery objectives. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive efficiency and cost savings across the supply chain, fostering strong supplier relationships and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders through digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Analyze market trends, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain resilience.
• Collaborate virtually with various departments to understand their needs and ensure timely fulfilment of requisitions.
• Oversee procurement budgets and report on key performance indicators to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in procurement software and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to manage and motivate a remote team effectively.
