About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Remote Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives from anywhere within the UK. This critical role will involve developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive quality management systems across all operational functions. You will be responsible for ensuring product and service excellence, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to manage and inspire a distributed team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the quality strategy of a growing manufacturing firm without the need for on-site presence in Wolverhampton .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry best practices (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Lead and mentor a remote team of Quality Assurance professionals, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to enhance product and process quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and customer service, to embed quality throughout the organisation.
- Stay abreast of evolving quality standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful Quality Management Systems .
- Strong knowledge of statistical quality control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for manufacturing.
