About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Analyst to join their fully remote team, supporting their operations based out of Birmingham . In this role, you will leverage your expertise in statistical modeling, data analysis, and programming to develop sophisticated financial models and algorithms. You will play a critical part in risk management, trading strategy development, and the evaluation of complex financial instruments. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and trading strategies.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and predictive insights relevant to financial markets.
- Write efficient, well-documented code in languages such as Python, R, or C++ for model implementation and backtesting.
- Collaborate remotely with traders, portfolio managers, and risk officers to provide analytical support and solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest academic research and industry trends in quantitative finance and data science.
- Contribute to the improvement of data infrastructure and analytical tools to enhance research capabilities.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Quantitative Analyst or in a similar data-intensive analytical role within financial services .
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in libraries relevant to data analysis and machine learning.
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, econometrics, and financial mathematics.
- Familiarity with various asset classes and derivative instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous approach to quantitative research and model validation.
