Remote Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Remote Quantity Surveyor to join their forward-thinking team, supporting projects nationwide from a remote setting. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing construction costs, advising on contractual matters, and ensuring financial viability throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project teams, providing essential financial and contractual expertise without the need for a physical office presence. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
• Advise on procurement strategy, contractual arrangements, and risk management.
• Monitor and control project costs, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Valuations of work in progress and claims negotiation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and project requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry .
• Strong understanding of contract law, procurement models, and construction economics.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in cost management software and standard forms of contract.
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively in a remote capacity .
