About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Remote Renewable Energy Analyst to join their team, contributing to projects from anywhere within the UK. This role is focused on evaluating the performance, economic viability, and environmental impact of various renewable energy projects. You will utilize sophisticated modeling techniques and data analysis to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and project optimization. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with project managers and engineers, bringing your data-driven expertise to bear on the crucial task of advancing sustainable energy solutions, with full flexibility in your work location.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial and performance analysis for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess project profitability and returns.
- Analyze market data, policy changes, and technological advancements impacting the renewable energy sector.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards for project stakeholders.
- Support the development of business cases and investment proposals for new renewable energy ventures.
- Monitor the operational performance of existing assets and identify optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as an analyst, preferably within the renewable energy sector or project finance.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and statistical software (e.g., Excel, Python, R).
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies, markets, and policy frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate results clearly in a remote setting .
