About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Security Engineer specializing in Cloud Security to join their innovative, distributed technology team. This critical role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure). You will be responsible for protecting our cloud-based assets, ensuring compliance, and responding to cloud-specific security threats. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct security reviews of cloud architectures and deployments, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Implement and manage security tools for cloud environments, such as security groups, IAM policies, and WAFs.
- Respond to cloud security incidents and perform forensic investigations.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on cloud security.
- Proven experience securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and services (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
