About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Security Systems Installer to join their expanding technical team. While the installation itself may involve on-site work at client premises, this role emphasizes remote support, configuration, and troubleshooting of sophisticated security systems. You will leverage your technical expertise to ensure the seamless operation and integrity of security installations across various client sites, primarily managing and supporting these systems from a remote base. This is an ideal position for a security systems professional who enjoys a blend of hands-on work and remote technical management.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely configure, test, and commission security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for installed security systems, diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Conduct scheduled remote system health checks and performance monitoring.
• Assist field installation teams with technical guidance and problem-solving during on-site deployments.
• Maintain detailed records of system configurations, software versions, and support activities.
• Stay current with the latest security technologies and best practices, applying them in a remote support context.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure as it pertains to security systems.
• Proficiency in using remote access tools and diagnostic software for system management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues remotely.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
• Must be able to travel to client sites as required, but the primary role functions are performed remotely .
