Remote Senior Beauty Product Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Beauty Product Developer to join their innovative team in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical for driving the development pipeline of exciting new beauty products from ideation through to launch. You will leverage your expertise in market trends, consumer insights, and product formulation to create best-selling items across various beauty categories. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will ensure that products are not only innovative and high-quality but also meet commercial objectives and stringent regulatory standards, all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of new beauty products, from concept generation to final production.
• Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new product opportunities.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment on product strategy and execution.
• Source and manage relationships with contract manufacturers, raw material suppliers, and packaging vendors.
• Develop product briefs, specifications, and timelines, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
• Review and approve lab samples, pilot batches, and production batches for quality and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in product development within the beauty or cosmetics industry.
• Proven ability to manage multiple product development projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulation principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with global beauty market trends and regulatory requirements.
