Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute projects focused on optimizing existing chemical processes to improve yield, reduce energy consumption, and minimize waste streams.
- Utilize advanced process simulation, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement control strategies and advanced process control (APC) solutions to enhance process stability and performance.
- Collaborate with site-based engineering and operations teams globally to deploy optimization initiatives and provide remote technical support.
- Conduct techno-economic assessments for proposed process changes and capital investments.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in the principles and application of process optimization techniques.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a significant focus on process optimization and improvement.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Proven experience with Advanced Process Control (APC) strategies and implementation.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and mass transfer principles.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and project management skills, comfortable working independently.
