About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Civil Engineer to join their expanding, geographically dispersed team. This role focuses on providing expert technical leadership and project oversight for a range of infrastructure and development projects across the UK. As a fully remote position, you will leverage your extensive civil engineering knowledge to guide design teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver complex projects successfully, all from your home office. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and delivery of complex civil engineering projects remotely.
• Provide expert advice and solutions on engineering challenges, ensuring compliance with UK standards and regulations.
• Oversee and review designs produced by other engineers, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation from a distance, utilizing advanced collaboration tools.
• Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and site teams through virtual communication channels.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical and professional development within a remote setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• A minimum of 8 years of comprehensive experience in civil engineering, including significant project leadership.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing diverse infrastructure projects (e.g., transportation, water, land development).
• Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
• Proficiency in industry-standard civil engineering design software and project management tools.
