Remote Senior Data Analyst - Insurance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join their expanding, remote-first data team, supporting their operations across the UK, including teams in Southampton . This role is crucial for leveraging data to drive strategic decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences within the insurance sector . You will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing insightful reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders at all levels. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to the insurance business .
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with business units to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Design and implement data models and queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Mentor and guide junior data analysts, fostering a high-performance analytical environment.
• Communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst , with a significant focus on the insurance industry .
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques .
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics.
