About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Kubernetes to join their fully remote IT and Software team, serving operations across the UK. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and managing our scalable, containerized infrastructure. You will champion best practices in CI/CD, automation, and cloud operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GCP GKE).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment, testing, and rollback strategies using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues related to scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration into the containerized environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with configuration management tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Excellent understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and distributed systems.
