Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join their distributed team, working entirely remotely. You will play a critical role in building, automating, and scaling our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This position requires a deep understanding of CI/CD practices, containerization technologies, and cloud platforms to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our systems. You will collaborate with software development and operations teams to foster a culture of automation and continuous delivery, making a significant impact on our technology stack without the need to be based in a specific office location.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
• Manage and scale cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient application deployment and orchestration.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation of operational tasks and system management.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement best practices for scalability and security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering with a DevOps focus.
• Proven expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
